We took a little autumn trip to North Carolina and as always took the cameras! The family treated us to a drive down to Dry Falls. A beautiful waterfall that you can walk behind! On the drive we came across many other waterfalls but this one was the cherry on top (hence why it became a part of our blog).
Now that I have learned a little more about High Dynamic Range Photography, I knew the technique would do wonders for me here. The sun was just setting behind the trees giving a good range of light and making it to where the water has a smooth look from the long shutter speed.
Since there was a lot of mist behind the falls (which you will noticed in other HDR photographs when you visit our smugmug galleries) I ducked into this little cave. It was fairly dark but the program for HDR brought out all the textures and colors that are not normally seen. It worked out just as I had planned.
As always, you can leave comments if you want to know more about the trip or other photographs we have taken. Don’t forget to add us on Facebook!
